I have been a bit absent from here this last week...been a bit of a crazy time. But thought I would blog my daughters make-up for her competition that she went to today. :)
I will catch up with everyone's posts and messages very soon. Just been a stressful week.
She did very well at her comp...and came 4th in the under 10's pairs comp, she had a recall for her solo, and the team came 2nd over all. :)

Massage training...progress and aching!
Yesterday I did a back neck and shoulders massage on my friend C, the friend who made my amazing nest and eggs pendant. I am always so scared of doing these things on people I know!! It's so much easier to do treatments on people you do not know.
Think it must be performance anxiety!
But anyway, it went well, I remembered the sequence and the pressure has got better. In the past, my pressure has been off. Apparently I was too gentle. So the past couple of massages, I have put all my weight into it. The 'clients' are giving me much better feedback.
The downfall...Now I need a massage!! My poor muscles!! Guys...there really is a good reason why massage treatments are so expensive. My muscles are close to leaping off my body and running away!! x

Glittery infills. :)
Hi everyone. Thought I would show my infills that I did today. They aren't perfect as I am still training, but they were close to growing out completely, beyond the point of infilling.
I tried to be clever and give myself a glitter tip...which I now regret, as I will keep having to fuss with the smile line. *Roll eyes*.
So here is the before and after pics.
This one of the less grown out nails. :)

Just playing!
Night sky :)
I am having a lazy morning playing with nails! :D
For this design, I used a purple varnish from Avon, and Alpine snow for the stars, with stars in my eyes on top of that. Both by OPI. :)

She is such a arty crafty person! She knows how much I love birds, and decided to make this for absolutely no reason. She is definitely the best friend anyone could ever have!!
It is a nest pendant with pearl eggs nestled in between the 'twigs'. LOVE IT!!!

Sleek Palettes
As I mentioned in my previous post, I do not own any high end make -up products. Simply due to the fact that there hasn't been such a high demand for make-up treatments in the salon where I work.
So here I will rave about some palettes that I think are absolutely amazing, especially for the price!! They retail for around £6.00 for the entire palette, which at times can be a warning sign of a product lacking in quality. Not with these.
They are super pigmented, and they really do have lasting power. Although I am not able to compare these to much more expensive brands, I can say that they are on Parr, if not rival, the likes of Maybelline.
My only issue with these palettes, is the lack of matt colours. They are all shimmers, which is a real shame, as some skin types, especially more mature skins, cannot pull of the shine.
But maybe they will release more matts the more popular they become.
This is their 'Bad Girl' palette.
This is their 'Storm' palette. I have over used this one!!
This is their 'Original' palette.
This is their 'Sunset' palette.

Purple eye shadow using Sleek pallettes
Hey...today I am putting up pictures of my eyeshadow of the day. I do not own any high end make-up products as of yet. This is simply due to the fact that my bread and butter in the salon appears to be more on the nail side of things, and also waxing.
BUT...I have made do with some high street products that really do the job nicely. My absolute favourite at this moment in time, are the eye shadow palettes by 'Sleek'. They really are fantastic. I will be doing a review on them in my next post, but here I would like to just show you my eyes for today. :)
See the brown splodge contrasting the blue of my eyes. Why the universe couldn't have gone the whole hog and blessed me with brown eyes I do not know. It was in a taunting mood on that day I suspect.
I used the bright purple on the outer wing which I blended with the deeper purple.
The dark purple in the centre was used as the contouring which was also blended with the brighter purple.
These 2 colours were combined for the upper lid. I then used the creamier colour on the right for the inner corners of my eyes.

My daughters nails.
My daughter wanted a girly evening...so I did her nails. She is very happy with them...and it was a good chance to play with my new colours! :D
I used China Glazes Ruby pumps, Electric beat and Tree Hugger.

Mini China Glaze haul...RUBY PUMPS!!!!
I am so excited! I have needed a light blue and green varnish for a long time...so off I traipsed to my local Sally's beauty supply. I picked up my chosen 2, which I will name in a moment. Whilst locating a large bottle of my favourite top coat, a red sparkle caught my eye. And there it was...a bottle of Ruby Pumps!! I squealed 'Ruby pumps!!!' with delight, and practically ran to the check out!
I have wanted this varnish for SO LONG!!
So the green varnish is China Glaze 'Tree Hugger', the blue varnish is 'Electric Beat'...and of course Ruby Pumps.
Yayyyyyyyyy!!!
Ruby Pumps tips...with China Glaze Ice Cap.

Nail biters...my nemesis
My sister has the most appalling nails. Truly disgusting. She is a chronic nail biter. She has been growing them for about 2 weeks and asked me to do a mini manicure. I did my very best. I just hope that she actually sticks to breaking the biting habit this time!!
I have removed the excess cuticle and buffed the nails so that they are even, (she also 'peels' the top layer of nail when there is no more nail to bite!!) and painted them with OPI. I put a lot of cuticle oil...and am now crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!!!

Favorite nail design!
I did a nice set of nails yesterday at work, and did my favourite nail art!! :D Nice, easy and effective!!
I used a long thin nail art brush, and also my dotting tool. I will take pictures of both tomorrow for everyone to see. The swooping lines were done using OPI Senorita Rose-Arita, and the dots were OPI Alpine snow.

Burgundy nail art :)
Today's nails are an old design that I used last year. I absolutely love this design. I messed up on the middle finger by making the edge of one of my swoopy lines a bit too blunt. But hey ho...you get the idea! :)
Very annoying that I am forced into constructing fake nails to create the illusion of normal sized nails! *looks away sulking.* Not only do I have teeny eyes, I am also blessed with teeny nail beds to. *Pouts bottom lip at the injustice of it all.*
I used a burgundy Orly varnish (Very similar to Rockin Rocket...but I do not have the bottom label), with OPI Alpine snow and black acrylic paint by 'dream' for the detailing.
